Masako Kishida is a Professor at the University of Tsukuba, Japan. She received the B.S. and M.S.E. degrees in Aerospace Engineering and the M.S. degree in Applied and Interdisciplinary Mathematics, all from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2004 and 2006, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2010. She held research and faculty positions in the U.S.A., Japan, New Zealand, and Germany. From 2016 to 2025, she was Associate Professor at the National Institute of Informatics, Tokyo. Her research interests include control theory under uncertainty, networked and resource-aware control, and graph signal processing. She has contributed to both theoretical foundations and interdisciplinary applications, ranging from distributed control and learning-based systems to risk-aware decision-making frameworks. She was a recipient of the Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship (2015), the Telecom System Technology Award (2019), and the Young Scientists’ Prize from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan (2020). She is a Senior Member of IEEE and currently serves as Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control and the IEEE Open Journal of Control Systems.

2010 年イリノイ大学アーバナシャンペーン校博士課程修了，Ph.D. マサチューセッツ工科大学，東京大学，カンタベリー大学，マグデブルグ大学を経て，2016 年より2025 年まで国立情報学研究所および総合研究大学院大学准教授． 2025年より筑波大学システム情報系教授． 2022 年より2025年まで JST さきがけ研究員（兼任）． 専門分野は制御理論および最適化を中心とする数理工学．特に近年は不確かなシステムやネットワーク化制御理論に重点を置いてきた． 2015 年フンボルトリサーチフェロー，2018 年度電気通信普及財団テレコムシステム技術賞，令和 2 年度科学技術分野の文部科学大臣表彰若手科学者賞． 2018 年より IEEE Senior Member．
